In this metabolic condition there is a congenital deficiency of zinc, which compromises the activity of its transporter. The manifestations, mainly dermatological, begin to appear early in affected newborns, resulting in the appearance of different types of plaques.
This test is indicated for those, especially newborns, who show signs and symptoms of congenital zinc deficiency in the first weeks of life or during the weaning period.

The analysis takes into consideration the mutation of germline DNA, it investigates SNP and Indel mutations up to 150 bp.
